So, I am not going to say why yet, but there is a better than average chance that I have to replace most of my kitchen equipment. I have to confess that I am pretty excited about the idea of restocking my kitchen. The plan is to buy the minimum needed right now and then slowly add to it with good quality things I want and need. Our kitchen right now is a blend of cheap crap we bought when we had no money, really good quality expensive stuff we bought once we finally had money and hand me downs that I am too cheap to replace. Not kidding when I say that my entire stainless mixing bowl set is older than I am, or that the wire whisk I have is almost as old as I am. (Of course, those are all solid things that don't need replaced, so why would I bother?)
Anyway... if I do end up having to do this, I was trying to think of a way to make sure that the things go to someone who can really use them. One idea I had was to call a battered woman's shelter and offer it all to them, but I don't know if they really want my used crap, kwim? (I have a relative that lived in a battered woman's shelter for a while, and they eventually put her in a fully furnished apartment. That is why I thought of them.)
Any other ideas, in case they don't want my stuff?
